The Southern Archdeaconry Hari Gawai and Pesta Menuai celebration was held on the 26th of June 2010. This colourful celebration saw not only members from the Bahasa Malaysia congregation but members from the various congregations come together to celebrate this joyous occasion. Our Sabahan and Sarawakian members presented items which were rich in culture. Rev. James Ming brought the message taken from Psalm 126:1-6. The celebration is still relevant to people in the urban areas as: a) it is a spiritual harvesting of our inner beings, b) ensures fortunes restored and c) brings success when God’s work is done well. We need to celebrate this blessing with thankfulness and joy. After the service all the members were treated to an array of local food and dessert.
