All Night Prayer
To start off the new year, all the churches in the Southern Archdeaconry held an All Night Prayer simultaneously at their respective churches on the 29th of January 2010.
All congregations at their respective churches came together as one family to pray for the World, our Nation, the Diocese, the church, families within the church and other pressing needs.
For the churches who have multi-lingual congregation, it was indeed a sight to behold seeing everyone worshipping and praying together as the Praise & Thanksgiving sessions were also included throughout the night.
As commented by one of the churches, it was definately a worthwhile and good experience to forgo some sleep to intercede on behalf of the Nation and the Church. Such time of prayer should be a regular feature of the life of the church if we are to trust Him for a spiritual breakthrough and a revival in our land.
